John H. Heil

John H. Heil, 78 of 8170 Brownell, Road, Clymer, N.Y., died at 11:21 pm, Tuesday June 10, 2008 at his home.

He was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Sibley, Iowa, the son of the late, Adam and Katherine Sieders Heil.

John graduated from Sibley High School, in Sibley, Iowa, and then he moved to Clymer in 1948, there he had worked at Meyerink Milling Company, and then served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict.

Upon returning from Korea in 1953, John worked for several years at Clymer Lumber Company. He then worked with Ernest TeWinkle and Everett Tryonac hauling milk. From 1960 to 1982, John had his own milk hauling business.

John was one of the founding partners of Heil Transportation, in Clymer. He was a member of Abbe Reformed Church, in Clymer. He loved his family and friends, and John was an Enthusiastic Project Overseer.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma TenHuisen Heil, of Clymer, N.Y., whom he married June 10, 1952; two sons: Dr. John R. (wife, An-gie) Heil, of Pensacola, Fla., Dan Heil and Eric (wife, Kathy) Heil, both of Clymer, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Nick, Andrew and Libby Heil, all of Clymer, N.Y. He is also survived by two sisters: Marie Brooks, Los Angeles, Calif. and Christine Bowen, of Ludington, Mich.; and by brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Josie TenHuisen and John and Margaret Nyweide.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters: Daisy Schram, Bertha Baas, Tracy Appledoorn, Johanna Buysman, Hermina Muller.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Abbe Reformed Church, with the Rev. Walter Jones, pastor of the church, officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer.
