John G. Emory

SINCLAIRVILLE — John G. Emory, 94, formerly of Park Street, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Lutheran Social Services.

Born March 4, 1914, in Wattsburg, Pa., son of the late Jesse and Elma Hyde Emory, he has been a Chautauqua County resident since 1928.

John was employed for 24 years at Carburundum of Falconer retiring in 1979.

He was a former member of the Sinclairville 76ers and Senior Citizens and attended Sinclairville Baptist Church. He had resided with Edward and Emma Deering family of Gerry for more than 13 years.

Husband of 37 years to the late Anna F. Bates Emory, whom he married Feb. 12, 1955, and who died June 15, 1992; brother of the late Frances Hemline, Anna Belle Jeffers, Myrtle Pardoe, Mable Youngs, Bertha Thompson, Bernice Messinger, Walter and Robert Emory.

Graveside service 9 a.m. Thursday in Charlotte Center Cemetery. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville.
