Kenny was born on Feb. 25, 1922 in Westfield, N.Y., the son of the late Edward and Lucille (Benson) Gol-den.
An avid NASCAR fan, Kenny favored the Ford rac-ing machines. He was a life time owner of Ford and Mer-cury products and vehicles. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, a past master and member of Summit Lodge 219 F&AM, former member and past chief (1974 -1975) of the Fire Department of Westfield and the Citizen’s Hose Co. 2. Kenny was in-strumental in the establish-ment and implementation of the fire department’s first ambulance service. He was so very proud of the ambu-lance and volunteered many hours following his retire-ment to the ambulance ser-vice. In 2007, Kenny was honored by the Rotary Club of Westfield with the bes-towment of a Community Paul Harris Fellow award, for his commitment and dedica-tion to the emergency needs of the Westfield community. Kenny was a member and former board member of the Westfield Fireman’s Exempt Association, a former member of the County Fire Advisory Committee, State Chiefs Association, and County Chiefs Assoc. He was an avid collector of model cars.
Mr. Golden had been em-ployed by General Electric in Erie and at Newbrook In-dustries in Silver Creek.
He retired from Renold, Inc., of Westfield as a Tool Maker & Fixture Maker in 1988 after 40 years of ser-vice.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Helen (Beers) Golden, whom he married on Aug. 19, 1944, his three sons: Howard (De-borah) Golden of Brocton, NY, Edward (Beverly) Gol-den of Erie, PA, and Kenneth (Carole) Golden of Derby, KS. He is also survived by his 7 and 5 Great Grandchil-dren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, L. Blanche Gol-den; his granddaughter, Judi Golden; and his daughter-in-law, Rachel (DuChaine) Golden.
Friends may call on Sun-day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., West-field, N.Y. and are invited to attend the funeral services to be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church of West-field, 101 East Main St., Westfield with the Rev. Matthew Golibersuch, offici-ating. Burial will be in West-field Cemetery.
