Trog, your run-on sentence is hard to understand. Did you have the same English teacher as Sarah Palin? The answer to you question is that it's all for concern for the feelings of animals. Don't read too much into it. Just because you have an agenda doesn't mean everyone else has one.

How much is concern for the feelings of animals and how much the unquenchable passion to meddle in the lives of people we and our kind don't like and how much much is desperate need to exhibit our exquisite moral superiority and affiliation with the most progressive and superior of people who live or ever lived?

Branding was done once in the animal's lifetime and was a necessity. Rodeo's are for entertainment and the animals endure the pain of being roped and tied over and over.

Loner, what would you know about the author's treatment of their pets? Get serious!

We all know where beef and leather come from. Cows are not at the top of the food chain. The difference is that beef animals are not abused for our amusement.

Has the author spoken to any cattle and asked them? Maybe they do enjoy it, how do you really know they don't. And jazzie before your "steak, hamburger and leather all come the same place...the store" It comes from a bovine. Your being a bovine is something entirely different.

Why because they have always done it does it make it right. That reasoning is just plain wrong.

Roping cattle is how real cowboys snared the calves for different things...like branding. What does the author of this letter think the cowboys did, just talk to the cattle real nice and they complied. Sheesh!

Its ok to some to rope their animals but illegal and immoral for dog fights right? People who like this kind of stuff are idiots anyways.

I heard the Cattle LOVE it! They go in for 3 minutes and then are off for 24 hours! Or if moving to another city off for a few days. It's like a dogs life. ( author, This is just to "spur" you on)

I can't believe the number of people that believe the lies of PETA and other groups like them.

Rodeo animals are much better taken care of then the authors household pets. Congrats to the Gerry Rodeo on it's longevity and may you have another 70 years of great entertainment.

Applause to you Christine! I cannot understand the attraction to watch animals abused and tortured for entertainment purposes only.
