From personal experience I know that taxes in the Town of Busti are too high. But the new assessments are worst of all, they are outrageous. That is why so many residents are appealing this year. I feel it is just a clever plot by the local leadership to get around the state tax cap law.

Oh come on, Burk! That's a pretty convoluted path to try and make your point that you didn't want Busti to purchase the Tordella building. The Town of Busti has been one of the few municipalities to keep taxes in check over the years. They are essentially swapping properties with their old offices going back on the tax rolls so your tax increase argument is baseless.
