Help When Possible, Punish When Necessary

It is troubling that a few Jamestown school children found drugs so easy to get that they possessed them openly in Washington Middle School....

You ask why the drug possessing students should have their futures permanently damaged. I ask why the students who observe the rules and behave themselves should not have dramatic advantages in their future prospects. Decisions have consequences. This is the most important lesson we can learn at any age. If you don't want to punishment, don't touch the drugs. I can't understand in the first place why it is even necessary to have a law against taking poison.
