God revealed Himself in the Scriptures. Sounds to me like holding Christian beliefs or (oh my) publicly proclaiming them is thought by some people to be prideful. Even though our history is filled with Christian preaching, churches, revivals, writings. But of course liberals have tried to suppress our real history and turn everything upside down for a long time. Pretty soon they'll try to censor what pastors say on certain topics - like has already happened in Canada. Good point Eagles - amazing how they want to limit conservative, traditional American speech but protect their own. If their views are so correct why are they afraid of debate? It's getting so everything is "offensive" to the LGBT, even daring to believe that marriage should still be one man and one woman. We're not saying liberal posts should be removed. Yet Rabb wants anything critical of the LGBT agenda removed. The voters ought to remove him from office - but they are evidently too ignorant, godless, and

Bluesman: I still challenge you a public debate. Why are you not willing. Let's have at it, in public, where you have to stand for your own name and contend with community response to your views? Or do you calculate that in any such debate, you'd have difficulty articulating for the public the principles you advocate? Or are you just a coward lurking, as trolls do, behind your screen name? I'm sure you'll have a one-line zinger that will please your audience. What I don't understand, is why this newspaper give you the stage for your opinions without expecting, as is the case with letter writers to the print edition, having to identify who you are. Your lack of ability or willingness to do that suggests to me that you are a "nobody" who is unwilling to stand up in public and defend his views.

from below: Answer me? Why have my concerns, as expressed in submissions to you about this journalist censorship, not been printed in your pages. Who are you to determine what the public should hear, viewing newspapers as a "public space?"

I totally agree with kawasakikid: the ability to spread vile, anonymous and biased commentary on sites in this newspaper is WRONG. This is a community! We should know who among our neighbors is saying what? If they can't stand the traffic, then shut up! Otherwise, stand up and be heard under your own name. The trolls on this site are gutless wonders! All (negative) opinion and no responsibility for their views. I've complained about this to the editor, but my complaint isn't published. This is censorship! This paper has its own "column" of views, but I notice that some letters do not even offer a chance for on-line commentary. Someone has decided that the subject (usually religion) is not to be discussed. I can sympathize, to a certain degree, given the hatred and vile that is expressed in these columns. But if you're going to censor 'sensitive' topics and not the insults that you publish on this site, then that is totally unAmerican and bogus journalism. Answer m

What I don't understand is this - if there is nothing morally wrong with abortion and same-sex relationships, then why all the debate over it?

And why silence those whose opinions are contrary to the left? The resolve to silence those with a different opinion and proof of what's right shows desperation.

Jamestown, NY -- In addition to objecting to articles that oppose gay marriage, some protestors who rallied in front of the Post-Journal newspaper want to go further. Council President Greg Rabb said he'd like anonymous forum board posts that offend the LGBT community removed. Evidently, anonymous posts can't be traced back to individuals, and these persons can't be punished in some way by the LGBT community. Rabb says anonymous posts are the source of too much mischief.

Bluesman: AS I expected, you have the ego and hubris to assume (on what bases) that God is on your side. That's the problem with the holier-than-thou crowd: they have the egotistical conviction that they are blessed and everyone else is damned. I hope you feel as confident in your financial investments--assuming you have any, and if you don't, what does that say about God's verdict on your life, at least according to Calvin (and I don't mean Calvin and Hobbes).

The reason why atheists like to say "evolved" is because of exactly this sort of thing. Evolve to take care of your fellow man regardless of his choices. Please evolve and get on team humans. The bible you claim to read wants you to be too.everyone would benefit and you can be a much better christian in the process.

The problem here is that as humans we seek the correct way to survive and find that in a preplanned path that we follow. We will murder other human beings to bring them "our culture" or in other words be like us. The idea that someone could choose anything their life raises questions and questions with no answers drive humans insane

All i was saying is that coming from someone who sat in church for years as an outsider, this sort of behavior especially from a pastor is terrible for your cause. Trying to remain as objective as possible on this i cant help but notice that if you were a good christian man you wouldnt need to force your opinion about another man on him. You should instead follow the work of Jesus and show sinners love and compassion and lead by example. Jesus was a man who would embrace homosexuals into his life and show them a better way, not shun them.

This is weird. All of these letters that revolve around the same topic. After x amount of comments, the newspaper shuts it down. it's either someone's homework assignment, or some sort of a strange survey. just a guess.

...and then when you point out their wrongs or lies, the first thing they do is accuse you of not having "Christian love." This is a great hallmark of this camp.

"If you don't agree with my ideologies, or my definition of marriage, you don't have love."

That's garbage.

bluesman, I don't know why the liberal left feel they have to twist someone's words into saying something they don't. Maybe it's because they have a great ability in being wrong most of the time.

But you're right - they are LIES instead of 'WRONGS.' The truth be known, Monkeyboy is rarely innocently 'wrong.' He lies about something in just about every post.

Yeah, he's back posts from two-three days ago being pulled. AIDS came from eating infected monkeys and passing on through sex mostly. Don't know if God had anything to do with it, but guess who spread it all over the world?

Monkeyboy, I will take a few moments to answer your ignorance. You are still batting nearly 1000.

First wrong - No, I do not promote living under a theocracy. Bad idea.

Second wrong - No, I do not promote state religion. I am for separation of the two.

Third wrong - The Bible does not glorify punishment and judgment.

Fourth wrong - The Word of God is the "spokesperson" for judgment. I'm just delivering the message.

Fifth wrong - I'm not worried over my own soul. But you should be worried over yours.

Sixth wrong - Re-read my posts. I'm not trying to tell you about Christian virtues.

You're really angry because you can't find anything in The Bible that promotes your lifestyle, right?

Locate all of the verses that God speaks about homosexuality, and point out His condoning of it because of "Love."

Monkeyboy - How do you know AIDS is not the result of God's judgment? What are you, an official spokesman for judgment?

I find it interesting how perverted men and women will take Bible language and give it an entirely different meaning.

Like the word 'compassion' for instance. Real preachers and people who care will preach about sin and warn others about judgment for sin. That's called "compassion" because they care.

And then there are clowns who get behind pulpits and spew out how wonderful the gay lifestyle is, when God CLEARLY speaks against it. The Bible says NOT ONE GOOD THING about homosexuality.

From our friends at Wikipedia "Since the 1980s the primary leading cause of death of people with severe haemophilia has shifted from haemorrhage to HIV/AIDS acquired through treatment with contaminated blood products."

Knowing about the hemophiliacs blows their theory of AIDS being a gay only disease. Keeping your head in the sand does not make it untrue. Lone you have a computer look it up. Remember Ryan White.
