Their cars need to be impounded and sold after they fail their sobriety test. There should be no plea bargains and they should have to go to aa and stay sober for one full year. After this when they get a car again their licence plate should be pink so they are highly visible. If caught again they permanently lose their licence. If they are in an auto accident they pay all expenses related to it and they permanently lose their licence.

The Chief Thief speaks.Stick 'em up.Everyone I've ever heard of with a DUI is "MANDATED" to a DDP-Or JAIL if you can't get to the classes held in the middle of the county after your License is confiscated.Be sure to bring your financial portfolio to avoid being under MANDATED.Be sure to bring a list of your political connections-They hate to punish the 'connected' that don't deserve it.

isn't there more money (& better results) in long term treatment?

bah to heck with that we're gonna take their driving privileges away!
