My parents were graced with a visit by one of these beautiful birds a couple of days ago at their home. It did sit in maple tree by their garage and was watching the bird feeder which is usually very busy all day long. As soon as the owl showed up, all the other birds left and would not come back until the owl left. I regret that I did not get to see this beauty but my Mother says it looks exactly like the one in today's paper.

I wonder if "these" scientists are among those who have been "global warming" advocates and are thus reluctant to acknowledge the possibility that the increase of owls locally could be a function of the COLDER weather we've been experiencing.
