Or Mel with his cross. He would have thought that is ok. I wonder if he takes it off when he goes in the public schools?

Christopher Schaeffer, a grown man, acting like this is embarrassing, not only for himself but his relatives, friends and the Town of Pomfret!

I agree that "colander" and "dogma" "needing" to be defined for PJ's readers= we're in deeper doo-doo. did the writer of the article NOT know these words & so felt inclined to define them for everyone else? I felt that my intelligence was insulted. Also, being fairly new to the area & reading this article one could assume that either the PJ & it's reporters need basic, common words defined & should give back their diplomas (High School) and please see about getting a refund on your education (even if it was Public School) or PJ, the editor & this writer must believe the PJ's readers are idiots & would NOT know the definitions of these words. I've been reading the likes of Washington post, New York times, BBC etc for decades 7 NEVER had I read a simple word needing to be defined by these organizations. I'm positive there are other readers that also read them as well & are of at least average or above average intelligence.

maybe more important questions are: do they get tax exempt status & if so do they deserve it? i've looked online for their tax exempt status but everything i read is vague. if they receive tax exempt status does this open the door for every nut? maybe i should start my own religion..

Are recall elections allowed in the Town of Pomfret? Now that the citizens know the true character of the person they elected....

Plus, this article would have been much more interesting and informative if it had explained that the church of the flying spaghetti monster has been a parody of organized religion and criticism of the teaching of "intelligent design" and "creationism" for at least the past eight years. It has "adherents" globally and has even been cited in a number of legal cases.

No,we get it. The guy is an idiot with no respect for the office he holds or the voters who voted for him. Political parties should not endorse pasta strainer ministers but once in awhile one slips by. :)
