God bless New York State farmers and their families. They seem to be able to contribute and somewhat prosper despite the bureaucrat idiots in Albany regularly trying to put them out of business with excessive taxes and moronic mandates.

I was taken aback by the statement of the "hot" fall weather! Huh?! I looked up the average temps for Sept., Oct., and Nov. on the Accuweather site. Sept. was 3 degrees below average, Oct. was one degree above average, and Nov. was 5 degrees below average!! Wow - what a HOT fall in Jamestown! That kind of ignorance makes it hard to place any further credibility to the rest of the article.

Ever hear a farmer say that it was a good year? Me neither.

looks like our biggest challenge is the age of our farm owners/operators. it is so difficult and expensive to get young people established in production agriculture
