Yes hde120. Jamestown needs to enforce its own zoning and code enforcement laws. That's the simple secret. Then there would be no need to burden the county. They have failed in this respect and now want the county to pick up the tab. Where does it end?

Those of us in the rural areas of the county have no desire for a "county police force". All patrols will be tied up in the city and leave the rural areas virtually unprotected. Of course you could care less because you represent the city, who by the way would benefit the most....

This guy is indeed refreshing in the sense that he has no particular hidden agenda. He is not (yet) a threat to the status quo and therefore will continue to enjoy bi partisan support.

Most of the tax exempt property in Jamestown is owned by Jamestown itself. DPW, Schools, BPU City Hall etc.

I totally agree hacksbegone, and he is doing the best he can to support HIS constituency, which is what he was elected to do but increasing the debt and tax burdens of County government is not the way to go.

Chuck is a rare Legislator who transcends the ridiculous partisanship that others tend to hold onto when "legislating". He has a realistic view of what ails this City and County and is not afraid to state his views on them. Refreshing.

Jamestown needs to solve Jamestown's problems. It should not burden the county any more than it already does. County taxes need to be lowered not raised. Mr. Nazzaro needs to attend city council meetings an help guide them to reduced spending.
