I’m A Tea Party Member; What A Despicable Human I Am

December 16, 2013

To The Reader’s Forum: I am a member of the T.E.A. party, and until a recent letter in this forum did not realize what a despicable human being I am. I have been to T.E.....

The doctrine accepted by GOP star Paul Ryan and the libertarian right, including the Tea Party, is atheistic (though Ryan claims to be a devout Catholic) , focused on self-interest (and contrary to Christian altruism) and an ideal of "reason" that it members regularly fail to uphold. This is the heritage of novelist Ayn Rand. For more details, if you're really interested in where these ideas came from and how faulty they are, see Greg Nyquist, Ayn Rand Contra Human Nature. An eye opener to those whose minds are not yet closed, like Rep. Reed. Seriously, check out the sources of what you accept as "your" belief and then see how much you've taken for granted and how groundless it is. I repeat, the entire belief system is atheistic, and the entire focus on self-serving interests is unchristian. Those of you who read books, check it out, then compare it to Fox news and the Ryan Express who dump on the "takers." Are you a "maker" or are you stru

.. . . from below, "lets talk," though I have my doubt about those whose opinions will bring about one-line zingers and bumper sticker reasoning. Is there no one out there who wants, and is capable, of discussing the Randian ideology facing America today as a result of the TP acceptance (e.g., Paul Ryan) of her unAmerican and atheistic ideology? Who wants to discuss this seriously? If no one, then the argument remains a standoff between ignorance and enlightenment. Read something other than the Bible. There's a lot that confirms the teachings of the Bible, but the TP ideology is unChristian and unAmerican. Want to debate this? Be prepared for more than one-line zingers. Don't bother if you're not willing to investigate this scion of the Tearepublicans. I take it that most who who read these posts don't pay much attention to the facts and reasoning, but I hope they can 'see' how their beliefs work against their best interests. Ryanism will destroy America? Let's talk.

The trolls rule: nothing in these exchanges has anything to do with the original issue, which I agree with: TP members are ideologues whose ideas of freedom and government are out of the mainstream. We'll see if the GOP can cope with their ideology, or whether (I hope) we can return to a two party government that pays attention to compromise, not ideological purity. I used to be what was called a "Rockefeller Republican," but now am independent, and at arms length from the TP ideology, rooted in Ayn Rand and her atheism and unchristian lack of charity. I find it absolutely amazing that good fundamentalist Christians (and other religionists (look it up) buy into this atheistic argument for our economy and social life. Please read up on this, at least via Wikipedia. I'd love to dialogue with a Randian who has read her "gospel" and knows enough to debate the issues. I doubt many reader have any idea of Rand beyond her novels. Read the theory behind them. Then let

50s4ever, I would like some clarification on 3 things that you have said. 1. What are the names of these new genders that you believe have been created? 2. Who are those "white conventional thinkers" that are "being forced out by more brown and black"? 3. If God was really there to help you mete out revenge what exactly is this "social justice" you want Him to help you with? Please try to keep your response free from name-calling.

Only someone who thinks they have the right to be mean and abusive on this website would consider what I said to be an attack. Sure, an attack on their "right" to treat others badly.

Note: monkeyboy's Dec 24 1:32 post was was simply an attack on others, and had nothing to do with the article.

Once again for the right wingers whose magical powers seem to be malfunctioning again, I only hit the Abuse button when someone makes a personal attack and there is nothing in that post that relates to the topic - just an attack. I have never hit the button for revenge for having one of my posts deleted as Lonerider is so proud of bragging about. That is the epitome of childishness. I have had some posts deleted lately, since you righties have be complaining about yours disappearing but have you heard me boo-hooing about it? No, I have examined each one to see why the PJ might have agreed and tried to learn something from it. I suggest you do the same.

Bluesman, disagreeing with your political views is not "throwing mud". You and Loner and SeaDog act like expressing a political difference means someone is threatening you or is a personal attack so you respond with personal attacks. Don't get so emotionally involved.

Bluesman, says, "I know what you think, Monkey". Well, no, you don't as you have proven over and over. I have also told you not to write what you think I feel (offended/not offended) but you have this need to constantly put words in my mouth and then argue with what are essentially your own words. Once again, I can speak for myself. If I don't say enough things that tick you off that doesn't justify you making up things and attributing them to me. It's very dishonest.

As I said it's just a stupid little game for those two. They have merry christmas removed. So you call them thin skinned. Than they have that removed, claim you're not being civil. And so on. I bet your friends had a good laugh over that one.

lone-They are just like children trying to see what they can get away with. Having Merry Christmas removed was just a new high in low for them. It's just all a childish game for those two. They claim they want to have a civil debate, and then they start throwing mud. When you throw mud back at them, they head for the button.

I am glad to see you are trying to post in a more appropriate manner. However, remember your apology on the other forum. That lasted maybe 10 minutes. And you were back to your old tricks. But, in the spirit of the season, I will take you at your word. I think the fair thing to do is to let monkey decide if you are keeping your word. How 'bout it monkey?

I know what you think monkey. You think it's ok for those on the left to call those on the right anything you want. When those same names are thrown back in your face you play the victim. You than claim you would never use such vile language. You and gravel lie all day long. When you are called a liar, again, the victim. You then go looking for help. On here, all you can do is run to the pj. You have convinced yourself that you are hitting the button for the good of the blog. The rest of us know the truth. Well not gravel, but he doesn't count.
