Sounds like chaut town board just said we won't allow a viable option for increased jobs and revenue but rather - we'll just continue to raise taxes and you'll have to live with it...

If fracking was scientifically proven to be a threat to the lake it would be the correct decision. But when I research that issue I do not find that proof. Anti fracking is supported by "pop" science and southern New York State is paying the economic price for that. There is no environmentally free energy source anywhere.

What science or valid research do you base your opinion on.Fracked Gas and oil wells have been dotting the Chautauqua county landscape since the early 80's and before with out contaminating the water.

Fracking is no reasonable in any area. Bravo and three cheers for the Town of Chautauqua! Now other towns need to follow this example.
