If even Young admits that repealing the SAFE Act would not get thru the Assembly nor would Cuomo sign it, why is she wasting time and resources on it? I'm sick of Republican's symbolic gestures that do no good and waste the government's time and money that could be much better spent on other, more productive things.

Ahhhhh, remember when Cathy got all kinds of pork barrel loot and she would be in the paper once a month in a photo holding a giant check? Maybe this time she should pose with an AR15 and an ammo belt. Just smile and wave.........

Election season has begun. "Hi, I'm Cathy Young" smile / handshake has begun her 2014 campaign with "free" advertising.

Come on folks, she is plan and simple, a phony making a career out of Albany.

Please show me what she really has accomplished.

I wish she'd run for the governors job. Well liked, decent politician, hard working and photogenic. I think she'd have a better shot than goofy Paladino or worse yet Donald Trump.

Guns always seem to be number one on the republican agenda. Why not just work with what we already have. Put the energy into something solid rather than try and defeat the undefeatable.

Maybe Senator Cathy Young could explain why she continues to support Dean Skelos as her leader in the Republican Party. He is a Benedict Arnold who put the SAFE Act on the floor of the Senate and then twisted arms until the Republicans voted for it along with the socialist Democrats. Young always talks good at home, then goes to Albany and gets into bed with the liberals like Skelos and hopes no one notices.
