They have over priced the tickets. $110 for the first row? $250 to sit on the team bench? $279 to be on the floor? How many different management groups have been through there since it opened? I've never heard good things said about any of them.

What a shame. World-class skaters, Olympic medalists, American Idol winner, all under one roof and there's plenty of tickets still unsold for Saturday's event. I bet if there was an event for public assistance, Jamestown residents would flock to the JSB Ice Arena.

The stakeholders need to hold the arena management responsible for this.

Go to Ellicottville, Chautauqua Institution or Peek n Peak and the parking lots are filled with out-of-state/international license plates.

Maybe they should sell the arena to one of these successful enterprises so they can blend it into their popular programming?

I mentioned this show to someone involved with figure skating clubs in the Buffalo area and they had heard nothing about it. How hard would it be to send fliers or even a simple email to the figure skating and gymnastic clubs throughout western New York and Erie PA?

Was this not marketed to a regional audience?

The "view seat map" option on purchase-dot-tickets-dot-com reveals a massive amount of seats unsold. Even the floor seats are still available... and the event is only six days away.

There is no local market for this sort of thing. And it's sad.
