Agree on the overpricing. My kids would love to go and see all the talent that will be there.. Just can't afford those prices for a family of 5!

Really enjoy the ice arena events, but the pricing is way to high! You'll never get community support with those prices. Some ticket prices are reasonable and hockey tickets are great but the food is soo over priced! And as parents we all know our kids love to have their chicken fingers or pizza n slushes,etc.. The ice arena is a nice place but heavy on the pockets for a family night of fun. The market dept needs to do some serious adjustments so more people and families will come out and support the ice arena.

I wonder about the original intent with the ice arena. That this facility was built, I'd expect there must have been understanding of some type of demand or appreciation in this area for ice related recreation, skating and/or hockey. It seems now there is not enough demand/appreciation as anticipated. But I do think the arena could do better in promoting & publicizing itself & its events.

Seventy-five percent of this area is on fixed income or living paycheck to paycheck and they are not going to spend 10x their usual weekend "going-out money" just to deviate from their fun and comfortable routine. All the glitzy signage on the ice arena walls is not going to change that.

Jamestown Ice Arena needs to market itself to the local community.

Time to bring back the professional wrestling scene. Even the low-rent ECW or whatever the second-tier wrestling circuit is nowadays.

Couple this with a large screen dropped form the ceiling that plays Insane Clown Posse and Pitbull music videos.

Pump the place full of Potchuli and Nag Champa incense and sell doritos, funions and chicken finger pizzas.

Lastly, don't charge $200.00 for these events. The Skating and Gymnast spectacular is only six days away and most tickets are unsold, according to its purchase-dot-tickets-dot-com website. Only five front sections are sold out, some of the $200 floor seating is still available and the corners have 80+ seats still unsold.

Charge a $20 maximum, otherwise the locals are just going to go to their usual American Legion or Bullfrog or neighborhood Bowling alley to get drunk. It's what we do in this area.
