Agreed zedman. It is just a building. Although it has been featured in history, it is no longer the structure it once was and is now at a point of demolition. Creating a new memorial that can be maintained is a far better way to honor the patriots without spending several hundred thousand dollars on a structure that is lost. Some people believe all must be saved....until someone hands them the bill. And for bobbojr.... don't waste your responses on that troll. Comprehension is not bobbojr's strongest trait.

Hey Bobbojr - can you not read? Where are you getting your attack. The building was not part of the Civil War. The memorial aspect came 50 years after the war. Perhaps spending money on services for veterans instead of worshipping a building I better use of available funds. You are the one who shows no respect for the people who fought and died in the war.

There is so much interest in history and geneology now that I feel this is a valuable asset. On TV news, Nancy Bargar, a relative of a soldier in the l54th who died in Gettysburg, gave a moving talk on the history and importance to vets and Little Valley. I loved the pictures of people gathered there in 1914 for the service. It will be 100 years next year. I hope it will be celebrated and not just destroyed.

Zedman let's rationalize all things. Your response shows little respect for our soldiers who gave their lives and service to save this nation during it's most terrible war. No respect at all.

This is a building used as a memorial. THe building has no connection to the Civil War, other than as a memorial. Creating a new memorial does not deny the patriotism of the Americans who fought in the Civil War, nor does it deny their memory. It is a building.
