The voters have really spoken and this county will have a brighter future because of this outcome. You can say good bye to the Chautauqua County Home and hopefully hello to additional investment in this County's economic development.

YEP! Hello to a quick buck and good bye to traditional common sense. The process of selling any home should be a lengthy process. Did they visit with residents or any of their families to see the kind of care they are getting?

Ron John showed his true colors early with one of his initial statements being that one of his priorities would be to settle the County union contracts. Dude, if you have to pander that hard to a special interest group then your message and platform must be very weak....which it was. I'm thankful that there were enough informed voters to make a good choice in this race. And to CarterMk: You haven't become any smarter since your last idiotic statement. Go back and research the whole County Home issue, you moron!

"The Republican tsunami" ... oh boy. I don't care what party our elected officials come from; just as long as their decisions are non-partisan and in the best interests of the county.

Also expect a hike in sales tax, which the dems have voted down, every time. That's ok. I hope for a brighter future, but the sole blame will be on Republicans if there aren't improvments in our county.
