Everyone wants the CSEA jobs gone. Then in their next breath they will complain about the fact that there are no decent jobs in our area.

It should be very clear to all by now that the only way to actually insure that our county home survive and thrive is to vote those who refuse to accept reality out of office on November 5th. I can also understand the short sighted position of the CSEA worker and union to do whatever they can to protect a union job that with a fringe benefit level of 75% takes a salary of $35,000.00 and raises it to a total benefit of $61,250.00. That is not sustainable in non government job real world and it will eventually collapse in our county and the home, jobs and care will be gone forever. Gone also will be millions of our tax dollars spent to prolong those sacred CSEA jobs and union dues. Please vote on November 5th.

This was not a political plot. This was a put your money where your mouth is situation. Cornell and Whitney said they would be willing to sell to the right buyer. Why didn't anyone ask them who that right buyer might be? I am apalled and disgusted that my legislator, Mr. Whitney, did not represent his constituents. I am a senior citizen, Mr. Hoyer, and the county home is not an option for me, since my family members all live and around Jamestown. Why would I want them to travel that horrid route 60? Let the cities of Dunkirk and Fredonia take care of their own. You should have taken care of your own...constituents, that is. BOOOOO!

Carter, you exemplify what is wrong with the voting population. " ...I wouldn't have wanted Vestracare in there, don't know anything about them." Maybe you should educate yourself and then decide.

Wah Wah Wah. There may be reasons not published in the media as to why these people voted against it. Them media isn't always notified of everything that goes on within its community. Things aren't always as we want them to be, and I wouldn't have wanted Vestracare in there, don't know anything about them.

Those nine continue to show their true colors: they truly have no concern for the taxpayers of their district & have no interest in the additional services & jobs VestraCare was going to bring to Dunkirk. I think it is time to start letting those nine pay higher taxes to keep the County Home afloat. Time to get all of them out of office since they are not interested in helping the taxpayers.

Remember this vote next week. I can understand The North County Legislators voting not to sell it. WE KNOW THAR WHITNEY, CORNELL AND HOYER VOTED AGAINST THE SALE OF THE HOME. They went against the constituents in their districts and in Jamestown and voted for CSEA to keep their stronghold at the Home and eventually destroy it. It will be interesting to see what concessions the Union makes and how Management is going to cut cost at The Home.

Good by Bob,Lori, and who ever voted against the sale. You are so stupid it is just unbelievable. You are toast. At least the taxpayers won't have to worry about you after next week.
