Come on. It was a no bid cronyism payback for Michelle's old classmate's company. Competence wasn't required.

Loner, you blame Obama specifically for the programming problems in the ACA database yet you refuse to give him credit for this. Make up your mind. Is the president responsible for just the bad things that happen during his administration and subordinates are solely responsible for the good? It works both ways.

The only thing Obama has done right was Bin Laden. And more recently telling Biden to hide and keep his mouth shut. He must be preparing his exit speech as VP.

It would probably help any republican if they were to have at least one testicle. Repubs spend too much time trying to reap a huge payday from the government. What these anti-American republicans should do is get off their ass, learn to work, chip in and earn your fair share of America. Don't fight for the right of some health insurer to collect a lifetime of premiums from you and then deny coverage for basic healthcare and drop you when you need hospitalization. Instead, support the ACA, or better yet, support single payer. That would have solved the problems. We should have pushed harder for Obama's plan for single payer. He was right about that…again.

Boy Loner, you sure are in love with your new "left-wing terrorist" sound byte.

50s, where did you get your info on red states/blue states? I don't believe you.

I love the way stats can be made to say anything you want. Hey Monkey! Read Thomas Sowell's three part column on racism.

I don't have the time or inclination, but you can check all the state statistics you wish at statemaster<DOT>com. FWIW, the highest incomes and fewest in poverty are in the blue states, with a few exceptions. One notable exception is Virginia, which has all those government jobs in the North and miltary in the Southeast.

I live in neither area.

I haven't found your source site. But I do find that blue states have higher taxes, and less job growth, and people are moving to red states. You didn't mention that.

Blue states protect their citizens, red states don't? That's why people vote for them? They don't protect them, they're poorer, and vote to help rich people? Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

"How can the Dems be the party of the common man and friend of the poor when the statistics David gave us prove otherwise? Not to mention the Blue states have higher income. How about that?"

Blue states protect their citizens. Red states don't. Why is this so hard?

If you rely on the generosity of the rich and powerful, don't be surprised when they just lump you in with the 47% ... which is precisely what they do.

The US car companies suffered from sclerotic management - especially at GM. The car guys were pushed out in favor of the management types, and the cars that rolled out of Detroit were terrible, especially in the '70s and '80s. When the Japanese arrived, using the techniques taught to them by the American statistician W. Edwards Deming, they took over the market. Of course, Deming couldn't get an audience in his own country, because his methods "cost too much". Now, they are used by everyone.

So the fate of the car companies was 90% management stupidity, and 10% labor greed.

FWIW, VW has a car plant in Tennessee that is in the process of being organized. VW is pro-union, having all union plants in Europe. Only the Tennessee pols are opposed.

DavidVa is correct, but what he did mention is that Ford tripled the wage for his employees. That is evident by our unions busting the major auto manufacturers. So although his intent was good, like most things it has been taken so far out of context that it is not even a viable argument.
