spoon fed leftwing ideology. Dems have little in house fighting because they can't think for themselves. They toe the party lie.

Mr. Howard, your history is right on. The rest of your letter is not. I agree w/ 50s, darkeagle, CREDENCE, instigator and birder. Mr. Howard, it is your beloved party and your beloved President, who are ruling us, their subjects. Your President is ruling through executive fiat, like all the good little dictators of the world do. He is anti-Constitutional. We live in a post-Constitutional America. His policies are disliked because he is successfully transforming this country into something antithetical to how it was founded. His ideas of the redistributive, fair, utopian state can never be realized. The very nature of life is that it is not fair.

BTW. we were never going to default. The federal government takes in enough money every month to pay the interest on the debt and to keep the government running. When our Whiner-in-Chief is threatened with not getting his own way, he resorts to scare tactics. Truly, one of the most dishonest men to ever be President. He can't even take responsibility for what role he plays in all of this. And, all of this is because of him and his party. NO budget in 5 years, it is t he democrat run Senate who refuses to pass one. Want to know why? If they do a budget, the left would have to itemize their agenda and we would know how much it would cost. They don't have to do that in a CR.

As for the poorest of the poor. The War on Poverty started years ago and has had billions of dollars spent on it and yet we have more poor people than ever (even prior to the economic downturn 5 years ago). Why do you think this is? Obviously, throwing money at poor people does not lift them out of poverty. Think about it.

As, for your last line Gary, it is your imperial President who is ruling many. Wake up. or better yet, sleep through the next election. Do some homework on your own instead of listening to the lib talking points.

I wonder if Obama wii be man enough to admit that he actually did destroy this country in a few years?

After the smokescreen blew away, the question was this: "Where's our hope and change we were promised?" It's time for TRUE patriots to pray for REAL hope and change!

Our government is broken. It's too huge and cumbersome with protocol and procedure to get anything done that amounts to a hill of beans. The last four decades have been spent on bogus programs and social causes. All to buy votes to continue power to spend money we don't pay back. It will only stop when the world makes us suffer for being such fools. It's already begun. China, Brazil, even Australia let alone people who hate us are looking to kill the dollar and our power. A prez who made a world apology tour when taking office didn't help. Wake up people.

Here we see some of the typical Tea Party venom that brought our government to a shut-down and hopefully has condemned that movement to the ash bin of history.

Monkeybreath, I will give you libs/progressives/dems alot of credit on one thing, you latch onto the liberal talking points, that are mostly inaccurate at the least and blantant lies at the most. But, you repeat them over and over. Low-information people and stupid people will eventually believe it. They think it must be true because so many people are saying so, over and over again.

How blind can anyone be if they don't see demagogue Harry Reid blocking any congress work for years. Remember when he and Pelosi stood and said pretty plainly that they run the government, not the President?

Do those of you who put down the TEA Party, even know what the he11 you're talking about? Do you even know a TEA Party member? I am not a TEA Party member, but I agree with them on a whole host of issues.

Read the study results in the Independent Journal Review by a Professor Kahan. He was analyzing the scientific comprehension of various political groups and found that the TEA party group had a slightly higher scientific comprehension than the other groups. Yale Law Professor Dan Kahan was surprised by the results. He goes on to say that he doesn't even know anyone who identifies with TEA party and that his impressions of the TEA party were formed by watching cable TV - and that he does not watch FOX News. He admits he is a little embarassed, but is glad he no longer holds this particular view.

Don't take my word for it, go read it for yourself. Those of you who denegrate the TEA Party should be as honest as this Professor and admit you really know nothing about the

I actually had to liik up the Tea party. I discovered I agree with most of their platform, and since the Dems fear them so much, I will be sure to support them, I guess a group that isn't registered and can't be harassed by the administration scares the bejeebers out of a prog. Their first rule is close organization and everybody jumps on cue. I feel better with them flexing muscle than the black or Hispanic caucus. At least I know I'm not left out by racial profiling.
