Yes 50s, there's all kinds of "free zone" things today. After all, I'm still waiting for all that "free" stuff we've been promised.

Didn't they come up with rubber ground cover not dirt and do away with dangerous monkey bars a few years ago? Aren't they trying to have a germ free zone same as gun free zone?

I agree with the author but have to wonder about the school administrators. Seems to me that those running public education are becoming more ludicrous with each passing year. CREDENCE was spot on. Even if you can get more of an emphasis on recess, I shudder how it will be implemented. Every kid will wear a helmet at all times, no running, no games that will include aggression or competition as they could damage fragile egos. Yeah, I can see those recesses turning into walking on sidewalks only while identifying any birds or trees that might be visible from said sidewalks.

Right on scary1. But I've found at my age, napping leads to more napping.

They've got intramurals and school sports, neighborhoods, siblings and best of all, if they had parents who gave a darn, they got 18 hours a day and plenty of parks around this area. I tend to think if this is appropriate, why not let adults take a 1/2 an hour to 45 minute nap? Employers already (rolls eyes) allows smoking breaks for those who smoke. Napping leads to more productivity.

Yesterday I heard that BHO has a secret garage at the (insert certain color; don't want to be racist) House. Apparently they believe it contains a FLYING CARPET which the pres. rides only at night. Can anyone verify this??

you got it crosshair! Bananas look like automatic weapons! Oranges look like Japanese grenades. Milk straws can shoot poison darts. I'm particularly excited about Michelle's "whole grain crackers" and Her poison apples FILL the cafeteria waste cans! LEAD ON oh you silly bastions of ignorance!

Right on marchhare. Children need outdoor time to run and jump and learn social skills. When they come back inside, they're more ready to attend to a lesson and there are smiling faces. Please, let's not see anymore beautiful school playgrounds devoid of a single, joyous, child.Play is an important subject, not filling in bubbles with a number 2 pencil!

I guess this only applies to adults, being our governments been shut down for 2 weeks now.

When are administrators going to understand that children are not little adults, and have needs? Let them be children Please!
