after looking at all this there is a story and a sub text.. The story: Cornell , Hoyer, Whitney et al. are still running a fool's errand.. The subtext... what in the world is up with the North County residents and their legislators????

Sure Lori Cornell can vote after the election, she still has voting rights in November and December until her term ends.

At this point, after endless rhetoric and posturing from the anti-sell Legislators, I'm just plain sick of them. Vote them out no matter how they vote on the sale this month. They've wasted time, resources and TAX PAYER MONEY trying to cover their posteriors with weak reasons for not selling this money pit. None of them are fit for public office. Voters of the County should take particular note of Cornell's actions, particularly her inability to attend this last meeting. Wasn't she the tearful story-teller at a pivotal meeting last time this came up? I guess her new story is trying to land her career political job as County Clerk. I don't want her associated in any government in this County. Unfit to serve! She is playing the tax payers and voters. Keep her out of government! And Whitney can just crawl back to his union hall.

Seems they have spent more money voting and talking about the home then the home is really worth. Its all a giant waste of money.

There is a November and December legislature meeting after the election and Mrs. Cornell will still be a legislator. Are you paying attention Sammie??

Kramer Lori is not running for the legislature this year. She can't vote after the election. Not paying very close attention are you?

Have the vote before the election, that way the voters of Chautauqua County get to see every Legislators true colors before the election.

It was alluded to that Whitney and Cornell would vote to sell after the election but not before. Talk about riding the fence. These two need to go.

Lori Cornell was too busy attending 3 events in her run for County Clerk to do the job she was elected for and is paid for and that is to represent the people of District 12 PAY ATTENTION JAMESTOWN!

Listening to legislators who want to postpone this vote until after the election for nothing but political reasons is disgusting. In case they do not understand it, we live in a very poor and highly taxed county and slicing $7,000/day off of the cost of running our county is a real big deal. This is especially true when the end result will be a more viable nursing home in the north county offering more services. If they blow this one it may be time to move to another location with legislators who make sound decisions based on fact and not on placating (read buying votes) a union.

Nice to see that Legislator Cornell was too busy to even attend, must be she couldn't get away from campaigning.

well if you look at the people who voted against the sale the majority of them were from the North County.

Would be a black and white political platform for candidates...and voters would be able to see thier true stripes. I know who would get my vote. The candidate who votes on behalf of county tax payers to sell this whie elephant.

I believe Edwards was just using that as a figure of speech. He is no dummy, and read through the lines years ago. Thank you for your service to our county Greg. It's good that you don't have to put up with the dysfunctional legislature (and CSEA union) anymore.

Edwards says he is "thrilled" to see the legislature finally admit this is all about politics and that this helps him "understand" what's been going on the past two years. Glad he finally pulled his head out of the sand and woke up to the realization of what the rest of us have known for two years.

After November 5th is wrong. The only reason anyone would propose that is elections. So vote those in favor of waiting after November 5th out and all that vote note to sell out!!VOTE!!!
