It's a slow news day. Nothing to really report I guess.

How does one control a horse from pooing? Do you put on poo brakes? Granted in 500 years, that plastic will still be here, but many batches of horse dung will have biodegraded by then.

How many more weeks are we going to be stuck on this subject? I could care less about the horse droppings and to tell the truth where I live in Jamestown, I have only seen it once in 12 years. So to me it isn't a problem. But why does the PJ and so many people get stuck on such little problems for weeks?

A person was in control of the horse in front of the buggy. At a minimum they should have the respect to curb their horse.

Sure, whatever you say. Shows your maturity though if you feel you have to respond in the manner you did. And the motor code says PERSON, not animal. Where is the poo coming from? HORSES.

Check out the New York State motor vehicle code:

NY CLS Veh & Tr § 1220 (2004)

I only use one ID on this board, it is my real name. I don’t have to hide like many of the cowards out there.

No larry1, er, beast, smart is the new stupid. Has nothing to do with respecting others, a lot to do with respecting the environment. At least horse poo will degrade after what- two weeks. Can you say this about a can, a wrapper? And thank you, I do live in the country.

What a miserably hyperbolic assumption that we can "save the planet" All the non-green in the world wouldn't fill Al Gore's garage. 1 Peter says God himself will destroy the earth (even by the melting of the elements) NOT some wayfarer that buys a coke at Mc.D's

As far as I know if they're on the road, they've been PLACEd there. Poop is a NATURAL thing. You're such a negative little guy.

I said to PLACE things on the road. Trees falling, leaves falling, snow falling are natural things. Shoveling/plowing snow into the road is illegal. Raking leaves into the road is illegal unless the government is collecting leaves and tells you to do so.

Are you really that stupid or are you just jerking my chain?

Anything, Larry1? I sincerely hope you don't go into the road, they could cite you. And where do we send the citation for trees that come down in storms, leaves that blow into the street, rain, snow, the list goes on. All of which are acts of God.

Horse poop may be better than wrapper, but it is still illegal to place anything on the road!!!

It is frustrating that so many treat the world as their trash bin, but unless somehow they can be caught (hidden cameras) & heavily penalized, I don't think it'll change. Eventually I bet all these wrappers, bags, water bottles, etc. will be made of bio-degradable material (& maybe this makes better sense than recycling) and mixed in with the horse poop in the manure pile.

Road apple in one hand-plastic bottle in the other.Which beneficially bio-degrades before the other?Meconium futures on the rise!Buy Meconium now, before it's gone forever!"There's a gold mine in those disposable everlasting plastic dities."Bring your own bag to the supermarket-they should charge at least a dollar for plastic. The British pack their fast food in newspaper-(fish and chips)-ecologically disruptive ,but biodegradable!Gardens love "road apple cider"!Newspaper is good in mulch too!Especially P-J!
