Haven't we seen enough crap about horse crap?

I'm surprised the Amish don't install buckets below the horse rears to capture the goods... not to prevent "damage" but to add to the manure pile back home.

I just care about how they strip the woods clean when they cut wood and hunt year round. Mainly taking what they want without concern..

If they cut their own trees so what? If they shoot the deer eating crops so what? We have plenty of both around here

If horse manure is so great why do they leave it lying around on the highway?

Most of these letters touting horse manure come from people who don't live in the high traffic Amish areas.

No one has the right to place anything on the roads. That includes manure, cigarette butts, fracking fluid, and fast food wrappers.

No one is asking anything more then installing a sack on the rear of the horse to catch poop.Than they could put it in a better place then on the road, parking lots to end up stuck to the bottom of our cars or your shoes .It's called a little respect for others and their property.

I was all about horse poop on the road until we whitnessed an Amish horse pooping in the parking lot at frewsburg kwikfill last week. Our Amish friends left it lay steaming where she set. No excuse for that at all. I'm pretty sure if this issue is brought to there attention steps will be taken. We find them to be good folks. Stripping the woods would make little sence. They depend on the woods to survive. Shoot all the deer they please. That's how they feed there families. I believe all the nay Sayers are a bit jealous.

To the trolls who have clicked disagree – Give me a list of items that can be legally discarded on our roads!

As far as stripping the woods, yes they do that. They buy a piece of property, rape it for all the timber they can, and then sell the property. I know that for an absolute fact as they did it to the land next to me!

Amish for the most part are good people BUT there is good and bad in Amish also. They are not perfect like some of you would like to believe or make other believe they are people like everyone else GOOD and BAD! If you don't live among them you should keep quite on the subject. They do STUPID things just like anyone else. They are people and for you that think they are perfect you need to wake up.Bottom line clean up after their horse's.

Amish shoot every Deer that moves on their land and everyone's they can sneak on then play DUMB if you catch them.Caught them many times trespassing.See them at the store buying beer as much as anybody. But some of you think they are perfect but they are NO different then anyone else. And if you disagree with this maybe you should take a ride OUT of the city and spend some time and see for yourself!!!!!

thank you mrs danielson.... why is everyone all over the anmish all of a sudden?? leave them alone .. nothing is any different with them than it has ever been.... because they moved into frewsburg and now we buggies on the road everyone has to complain??? for the most part they are the nicest people who would help anyone in a heartbeat.. let them be.. they dont bother a soul.. what about people that walk their dogs in parks and along the sidewalks and dont clean up after them and you walk in it if you dont see it and drag it into your house.. that fries me more than my tires hitting some horse manure.. big deal!!

Let's see if i am reading this right. There are big piles of horse manure smeared in every parking lot and roadway in town but that's okay because it is "natural". But dog poop in the grass is unsanitary and rude. So if my dog goes in a parking lot or road is it okay to just leave it? Or is it only horse poop that is acceptable?
