The country should not have to depend on a committee chair like Rangel and others to get bills up for a vote. The system is broken.

"Hoyer's last resolution tried to remove prayer and the pledge to the flag from legislature meetings."

So he wants to go back 100 years to when they didn't do it back then? He's more Conservative than the Neo-Cons are.

Mr. Hoyer is self serving and thinks of only his agenda. The problem remains with his vote on the county home. Others might change with elections coming to do the right thing. He will continue to think of himself since he is not running in November.

Lets see, how about the elected officials listen to the people that elected them? You refused to do this when you voted against the sale of the county home, so anything you think or say after that slap in the face to the voters is irrelevant.

Two people doing dishes usually entails more labor costs, and a third person to wash and dry towels. This is how your train of thought is skewered.

What is your history of cooperation in the legislature? With you and your very personal agendas gone Mr Hoyer, and a few other people with personal agendas gone. The legislature has already improved 100% no matter which party holds the majority. We need 19 people who want to serve as the link between the people they represent and government. They need to be literate, good thinkers and listeners, and see the legislature as independent of other branches of government or party. The job should not be a career step or way to gain something personally for you or your family, except for good government. Let the new 19 people decide how to do business after they are elected. Let the old representatives go in peace and move on with their lives. I think the voters will truly elect the best 19 this time around and make that the first consideration. It has become a matter of survival.
