Back in the 50's players were told to hit low. Present day players seem to learn from the Pro's to hit high and hard. More could be said but violence in sports is 100+% greater today than the 50's This was a very tragic death. One, I believe. could have been prevented. Maybe the States, Colleges, and Pro's will NOW add stricter rules and penalities not for the players, but coaches, colleges, and owners of the Pro's. The teaching of not hitting high and hard should begin at the lowest level: 8-10 year olds. Damon was much too young to be FATALLY injured in a sport where you are supposed to be competitive and have fun. My prayers and condolences go to the Janes' family. In the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, Mickey McKain

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family team and community. this is truly one accident that makes no sense to anyone. A true test of ones character is how they face adversity and I am sure that this family team and community will shine. God Bless the Janes family and all those impacted by the tragedy.
