Blah blah blah more sappy nonsense. It would be nice for these places to give people what they really need, not wants. People need insurance and jobs. Things like this letter proves there's no God.

Jazzie - I am praying for you. I really have no idea how "things like this proves there's no God". Insurance and jobs are very important but hope and love are needs that many more are lacking. I am hoping that the items given out were truly needed (as I feel they were). These items are difficult to obtain for many families, they were not cheap when we got them for our kids.

Jazzie - practice what you preach and GET A JOB. There's a saying about people living in glass houses.

While I may not agree with the theology behind the scenes, I do appreciate what religious organizations do for their communities.

"Jazzie - I am praying for you."

Praying for what? Because you're soooo much better than Jazzie?

Why is it that "Christians" insist upon using that phrase in the modern day in condescension? Pray for yourself.

Weird, not sure where you got the fact about Jazzie not having a job...

Straw man, oh straw man...

Did Reverend Mel make it to the outreach or was he too busy fighting for his political right to be a tool?

Lol..I know once we said something, stupidity would show up in droves. "GET A JOB". Sorry chum, my spouse and I already got one, and a home that's paid for. Is someone jealous?

If they're difficult to obtain...they need to get better paying jobs or a job period

jazzy - let's see, post at 7:15 a.m. and 1:18 p.m. what happened - get cut to partime?

"People need insurance and jobs", well I thought jobs were Obama's number one priority and there were going to be all kinds of jobs if the stimulus was passed a few years ago. And starting next month, Barry care begins taking care of the insurance portion of your post so what are you crying about???

AND THAT TRILLION DISAPPEARED A FEW YEARS AGO. Someone is a slick, sly, sneaky, dangerous, ruinous, devious individual.

"Why is it that "Christians" insist upon using that phrase in the modern day in condescension?" maybe because they are concerned for folks like you, Sir. Clearly there is an impetus.

I did not see any reference to politics or making jobs in that letter. Someone's disc is stuck.

Seadog really, are you really that stupid to think those of us who pay into your welfare are all work and no play? Some of us get time off , some don't have 9 to five jobs. Ever hear of break time? It's a perk, a benefit of working.

It isn't the governments job to provide jobs - it's our own, but as shown here, we're too spoiled to know that.

Needless to say, the outreach was a good thing.

Needful to say, "Christians" aren't supposed to do "good" things. They're supposed to do God's Will (according to Jesus, anyway). That involves giving all your money and time away to the poor.

So Jazzie was partially correct in that they refer to them as "needy" for a reason. If there are still needy people in the world, then at least many "Christians" have not been doing their job.

Congratulations to a huge untaxed business for their successful advertising campaign. Let me guess, the free items were all made in China and the food was loaded with HFCS & MSG.

ironnylomozesfrokmyouzryap writes: "...many "Christians" have not been doing their job..." And why don't you jump in and make some contribution? Rather than sitting on the sideline and casting forth rancid cynicism toward those who ARE making an effort? Stop being a piker.
