When the Super is gone, somebody still has to be in charge in the building. Do you really think the principals are going to step up and include this extra duty for free? In the end it will save almost nothing financially and no one will see any savings on their tax bill, however possibly a first step in consolidating other things which will actually save some money.

What a great step forward in consolidation of efforts to achieve reduction of expenses and tax relief. I wish both school districts smooth sailing. My only question; with a predicted savings of $50-60K, why wouldn't it be more if the salary of the outgoing Supt. was over $100K plus benefits? I realize there should be some adjustment in the shared Supt. salary and benefits but I would have thought a greater savings would have been achieved.
