Why, Seadog? Do you know better than the doctors and scientists who have listed it as a legitimate and sometimes necessary and life saving procedure? Do you really think trans people should live miserable and torturous lives with an early death as a very possible result?

What is it about trans people that you hate so much to wish that for them? How is it that you despise them so much that you would willingly withhold life saving medical treatments? What in the Deity's name has any trans person done to you to make you wish all of them were dead or dying?

The way healthcare was going before the ACA was passed was in the direction of rewarding upper class elites while putting middle, working and poor classes lives in danger through poor and unavailable care. That is NOT an acceptable alternative.

Seadog, I expect Obamacare to cover all legitimate and medically accepted therapies for recognized conditions. Do you think they should cut certain conditions out? Which ones?

Monkey, give me a break, you mean to tell me that broken promises, promoting immorality, encouraging legal theft and soft slavery have nothing to do with religion!

So monkey, after I point out inconsistencies of the President's rhetoric, broken promises made by him, the lack of verification of the massive amount of taxpayers taxpayer in Obamacare, and the "look out below" warnings of members in his own party, all you have is as a comback aginst is: Rev. Mel is spouting off. Really weak don't you think? Isn't it immoral to break promises, promote the murder of unborn children with chemicals and other inhumane means, to steal from others even it is legal? There is more to it than insinuating I'm only referring to his perverting the definition of marriage.

Medicare AND medicaid are the reasons.

I'm surprised at the level of the personal attacks that are posted in this forum. An individual presents a position and is not afraid to sign his name to it, yet the responses are anonymous. What's wrong with delaying the implementation of this law for another year - if it can delayed for bigger businesses and many in the federal government, it should be delayed for ALL.

Source after source will tell you - the reason why rural hospitals are in trouble has to do with Medicare cuts, NOT the ACA. So the facts of the matter are that no matter who is making the cuts, they would be in trouble. Whether the ACA's cuts or the cuts GOP politicians want to make.

What is hilariously ironic is I'm 100% sure FedUp, Seadog, 50'sIQ4ever, etc. are ALL in favor of cutting medicare. So they are in favor of hospitals being shut.

Wonderful ain't it? Facts are nice; I would suggest you shy away from news talk pundits.

Funny bunny how guys like "you know who" come up with all sorts of scripture trying to make a point but failing. As with the lost; out of character, out of context, foolish and inappropriate. Here's one for ya "professing themselves to be wise they became FOOLS". (Romans chapter 1; you might consider the whole chapter. It describes the condition of the pagans in our world today)

..."than they’d been promised when they signed on to the Affordable Care Act. The law required all states to expand their Medicaid programs to cover uninsured citizens who make too little to buy plans under Obamacare. But the Supreme Court ruled last year that states could opt out. Nearly half have chosen to do so, as Republican governors or GOP-led state legislatures have opposed the increased Medicaid spending."

"Sequestration has nothing to do with it. "

htt p://**** businessweek****/articles/2013-07-18/in-obamacare-buildup-hospitals-face-a-self-inflic ted-wound

"When the Obama administration was selling the benefits of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, the hospital industry agreed to accept a $155 billion decrease in Medicare payments over a decade. The administration assured hospital executives that patients newly covered under the health-care law would make up for much of the loss. Because of the ongoing squabbles between President Obama and Republicans in Congress over the U.S. budget, that hasn’t happened.

The automatic federal spending cuts known as sequestration have sliced an additional 2 percent from Medicare reimbursement payments to hospitals this year. Beginning next year, many hospitals will also collect less money from Medicaid, the federal program that provides coverage for the poor,

irony- the future structure of the healthcare system "IS" Obamacare and the law's payment structure is what will result in closing many of the smaller, rural hospitals and that is the conclusion arrived at by several think tank studies. Sequestration has nothing to do with it. Obama's $100 million family vacation to Africa would have more to do with hospital closings than sequestration. Medicaid is rapidly becoming a non-option because the Dems expanded eligibility AGAIN and states don't have the money. I don't know how you can be so wrong so much of the time but you are good at it.

Reverend Mel is actually the worst kind of false prophet because he is one who speaks out one side of his mouth rather than one who conspicuously distorts reality.

The funniest thing i heard yet was UPS trying to scare there employees by threatening to cutoff insurance to family members so they would lobby there Congress people to stop the insurance changes.the plan has some good and some bad . This happened because the right-wing nuts made NO effort to contribute ideas just B/S to help the Insurance companies and big business.

Lilrud, pretty weak case by Slate if you ask me. Baucus is bemoaning the lack of preparation by the administration and frustration small businesses are having in getting the information thaey want. Why does it cost so much and is so difficult to explain to employers if this is a good plan?

Yap, Obama said what he said about us keeping our doctor and our policy if we wanted to keep it and it would not be taken away. I received a letter from my provider that due to Obamacare, I'm dropped. Many others are in the same boat. We were promised by the President that it would not happen. He made no exceptions, qualifications or conditions on what he said. He said it unequivocally. He made a foolish rash statement just like the "red line" statement on Syria, but he still made it a promise, though he isn't able to keep it but said it just to make people feel good at the time. He should be held accountable. BTW, I'm a citizen of this country with as much right to speak up as anyone and to speak up as a pastor. Did someone make you the judge of who can't use the position of their calling in the public square?

"Studies have already shown that many smaller, rural hospitals will be going out of business. Just like most things in life, when it comes to quality, you get what you paid for it."

FedUp loves to disregard the fact that the reasons they MIGHT go out of business (not like the above fool states, that they WILL - another lie) is because they rely on poor and lower income individuals and subsidies from the government through that avenue via medicare, medicaid, etc. (which are being cut due to sequestration and the ACA).

Wow, you mean, no matter what, these small hospitals are on the fritz! Just think, if FedUp had his way and the government downsized the SAME THING WOULD HAPPEN.

It has less to do with the ACA and more to do with the structure of the health system and shifting demographics and monies.

You might get accolades for your false information from the grunts on this page, but not I.
