I think "The Handmaid's Tale" is still very relevant today because of the ongoing use of religious rhetoric by right wing demagogues bent on driving our country into a theocracy. It's a chilling and cautionary novel, one that still resonates and one that will continue to do so as long as religious totalitarianism keeps being advocated in our country.
