Take note of the 2nd last paragraph: "This problem can only be solved by reducing nutrients washing into the lake from the watershed, which act as fertilizer for both algae and weeds." This is NOT GOOD!!! I was at the lake Monday evening (Bemus Point). The water looks horrible. People were in the water there. Thank you for warning us. I think that these conditions result from above normal temperatures and too much rain. Please correct me if I am wrong. YUK!! Are lake fish safe to eat?
