Can't blame the county for not knowing about this issue? Talk about giving a pass. It is the business developer's job to know things like this especially when the key component of this business was availability of water. You don't get to the 11th hour and say oh wait, we cannot accommodate your biggest need. Looks like we did not do our homework, and we have egg on our face. Since Jamestown does have enough water, and for the good of the county, why can't this facility be located in Jamestown instead?

Thanks for not providing a solution to the problem you talked about, PJ.

If you think rural areas have infrastructure problems...heh heh, don't go looking around in the cities.

The city has old but very well-maintained infrastructure (water, sewer, electric) that was built to support industry. It has excess capacity and is readily available. This has been documented in recent studies.

President Obama ran on infrastructure upgrades and has been pushed back by the house extensively. Republicans must think you can have your cake and eat it too.

I can think of a half dozen well drillers in the county that could have that kind of well in a week.Poor excuse and you complicate something that really is quite simple.

Perhaps not an easy fix but couldn't the Towns of Busti & Harmony, the County, the City of Jamestown & the BPU combine personnel and equipment forces for a period of time to complete the project; purchase required supplies through a bond issue and get the job done? Apply the town/county taxes to the bond issue until it is paid off and gain the jobs and future taxes.
