Unless fireworks shot off in a neighborhood somehow damage someone's home or property, why would anyone call the police? That is just being a PITA to everyone.

With our freedoms there is an awful lot of responsibility that is needed and expected. Unfortunately too many people just want the freedom and no responsibility. I suppose it would be too much to expect people to use common sense and respect their neighbors and perhaps even obey the laws. Rather than violating the laws they don't agree with be a good citizen and advocate to get the laws changed. It is always an uphill battle but rather than blaming the system work at getting it "fixed".

Shoot off your fireworks and remember the lines of The Declaration of Independence. That in the course of human events it becomes necessary for a people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another....that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it....
