Politicians like County Executive, the County Clerk and the sheriff, deserve to be paid well, the problem is it the average tax payer in Chautauqua County resent the fact that all three of those positions make probably way more than the average tax payer.

I think the committee needs to set in place a schedule for smaller increases on a yearly bases , rather than wait 14 years to in between raises.

While the Sheriff makes a decent salary for Chautauqua COunty, the salary truly does not match the responsibility. I am sure there are many who totally disagree with this but have no idea what is required. I am also supportive of giving raises to the County Clerk and Executive for the same reasons.
