I realize the Co. Home has often been the whipping boy for larger, structural problems. Sometimes the Home has been a convenient scapegoat for an overall lack of vision and leadership in this County. Sometimes "politics is the last resort of a scoundrel". Having stated all this I am still scratching my head. How in the world is this still even an issue? I agree that the obstructionists have really crossed the line and must go. I don't care if a wooden indian is running against Hoyer, Whitney and Cornell: I am going to put my money where my mouth is and donate 99 dollars to each campaign.

Well, this does not happen often but I totally agree with imfedup, as well as Harold. This home needs to be sold for the good of the county as well as the residents and employees of the home. With all of these numbers recently published, as well as the facts previously published, what say you now Cornell,Whitney, Hoyer?

The county had a good buyer and Cornell, Whitney and Hoyer blocked the sale. Remember this on election day.

Well said. Savings are great but they will never get to the point where the Home will not need annual financial assistance from the County and the Fed. Privatize it, pay off some debt with the proceeds and move on.
