Overseas mfg. may have hit its peak... shipping fuel costs, labor demands for more than slave wages (as will always and should occur), and the inefficiencies and inflexibilities inherent are all combining to make it again more logical to mfg. home. But it also requires US mfg. to be lean, hi-tech, efficient, and flexible. Traditional union mfg. environments make this impossible though.
