The same thing was said about STAR when it was proposed... now my school tax has been cut in half... hmm

More often than not, public pensions are nearly double the private sector.That trillion dollar Stimulus 1 went for public workers benefits and pensions instead of the shovel-ready infrastructure jobs that Democrats touted. It only postponed the day of reckoning for several years. Mediation and binding arbitration won't solve the problem. The Postal Service has been doing that for 40 years and look at the shape it's finances arein today. If Cuomo wants to do something beneficial, start by repealing the SAFE Act.

"....mayors and school districts know Cuomo is correct when he says handouts from the state only perpetuate budget problems..." Yet NY state's Welfare system is the biggest handout in the history of mankind. Start here with total reform. All other conversations are meaningless unless we have this one.
