Edwards Will Not Seek Third Term

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua County Executive Greg Edwards will not run for re-election when his current term expires in January. The two-term Republican made the announcement today....

He could have done more. He never could get tough with situations and just muddled along. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to be involved with politics in these times. I hope he has a more normal life now.

he has done an excellent job for chautauqua county. both parties will have difficulty finding a good candidate.

Here is an example of a decent man who did indeed try to stand up to ; 1, the entrenched elite political class in Albany and 2.) The mild MR group in Jamestown (see: sale of the County Home) He will be missed. The answer is neither tea party populism nor the business as usual party politics...the system is rigged for the ongoing status quo..

It's time for a change. Nothing has improved in Chautauqua County. He is a RINO. Many of his policies and philosophies lean way too left. The county needs someone to stand up to Albany. It needs someone who will make the hard choices to cut taxes and spending inorder to bring in business. Too late for mine. We quit waiting and moved to Pennsylvania this year and we are loving it! I encourage more to come to Warren County!
