To paraphrase Pipeliner:

It's okay for the readers of the Post-Journal to froth at the mouth, speculate in comments, and cry for the genocide of entire peoples. However, the writers of the Post-Journal are not qualified to speculate.

The cause of this disaster remains under investigation and the remarks published here as to the cause are pure supposition based upon incomplete or non existent data specifically as relates to the West, Texas debacle. Mr. Gier and the Post-Journal do a disservice to Chautauqua County residents by making ludicrous statements about the West plant operations without actual expert data to back it up.

Ofcourse a similar instance could not happen in Chautauqua County if there is nothing remotely like the West, Texas facility present.

Perhaps after the actual determination is defined, written up and published, Mr. Gier might wish to weigh in with a comment based upon the expert determination of what he then "knows" about the specific West, Texas cause and effect.

At this time I would challenge Mr. Gier as to what he specifically knows about the West, Texas explosion. If he is part of the expert team investigating I will retract my statement.
