Coughlin wants to cut the Sheriff's department budget and take away your 2nd Amendment rights!

I promise, that if he is successful and gun owners name are given to the media, I will personally drive the tour bus to his house, after I've passed out maps on how to get there. We could call it the "snake house" tour.

carlaw, he(Couglin) is dangerous and a detestable excuse for a human being. His reptilian demeanor gives attorneys a bad name; his lack of respect for people, woman in particular, gives "public servants" a bad name. It's hard to believe that Fredonia can't do better than this guy as their representative.

This is a prime example of why the gun owners didn't trust the government when they said background checks would not be used to create a gun registry. What I have in my house is nobody's business as long as I don't use them to commit a crime.

Why should we have to be inconvenienced by having to file a form with the sheriff's office.

I thought that, as part of this new SAFE act law that if you filled out the waiver your name couldn't be accessed by the media?

We need to call Bill Coughlin and tell him how we feel before this goes any further. His number listed on the county website is 679-7084.

Coughlin needs to lose his privacy since he wants to print law abiding peoples names.

Maybe we need to publish the names of our crook government officials after all that should be public knowledge. They are the ones who aren't for us and get everything for the rest of their lives along with huge paychecks.

I think Minuteman has a great point. If I have an infectous disease (i.e. HIV, HEP B,C) and this can be fatal, no one can know I have it based on the HIPPA law. But I can have a registered gun and the entire world needs to know. I know I will never use my gun to harm. I think we all remember what Nushawn did with his. More lives were affected by his actions than will ever take place with my gun.

Its NOBODIES business what I have in my house! Because someone is honest enough to register their guns, the media and public records has no right to make them a target for harassment or burglary by publishing it in the media!!! Its an invasion of personal privacy!! Now if someone were to break in my house I would file a lawsuit against the media, and all offices responsible for these records.

I PERSONALLY AM SO TIRED OF THESE GUN ISSUES. It would be much easier just to round up all the fruit loops and lock them in sanitariums in precautionary measure.

Apparently Mr. Coughlin never heard of the 4th Amendment.

Let’s publish whenever Coughlin goes on vacation so the criminals will know no one is in the house!

What is the purpose of printing the names of lawful gun owners??

It is so "stupid" that some beiev gun owners are actually going to kill people. Believe it or not, some people keep cell phones to notify police of crimes. And some gun owners, believe it or not, keep guns in gun safes with locks on the guns.

This is just to let everyone know what you have and then there will be more crime with them trying to break in your house to get them. What joke this world has become. Guns don't kill people do and all these laws are going to do nothing to stop it.

I'm with you folks, Coughlin appears to be just another sissified windbag. HIPPA supposedly protects privacy as to medical info (except when it pertains to cuomos illegal actions)so why not keep our firearm ownership private?? Why do you want to know mr. coughlin??????
