since your ego demands the last word---have it--but you've proven nothing, nothing except you can't back up your lip service..........no "traitor"--and no "money trail".

lonrdr--not a very credible answer to your 2 LIES--1 ON THE GATES "MONEY TRAIL"--AND THE OTHER ON the Michael Moore "TRAITOR" LIE--you're 2 for 2--That's the "truth," for the good of the blog.

lonrdr--could you--would -mind posting the source of that reading material that confirms your accusation that "hero" Michael Moore is indeed a "TRAITOR? And while you're at it, you ducked my request to document the "questionable" money trail from Bill Gates to the office of the president. Both your accusations are off topic, but I feel a response is appropriate. Thank you........

I'll claim credit for that one--unless anyone else was interested in the "good of the blog." Perhaps you maddog--your concern for "bantering and off topic comments" was real wasn't it? Or was it as I suggested a matter of "political affiliation" outrage.

we've learned on this forum to be very skeptical of anything "fox" connected-------and posts that quote on a - shall we say- selective basis, lonrdr?

here's how the background check movement is going--82% of those polled still support that issue, down from 90%--the will of the people.

Here's how the Gun-control Movement is doing.4/25"Stop the NRA MARCH"held in DC.The Washington Examiner(4/26) has an article covering the march entitled "5 Sad Pictures".The participating Orgs. were:Public Campaign,Occupy the NRA,CREDO,Every Child Matters,Moveon,United for Change,N.Yers Against Gun Violence,The Other 98% and We Act Radio. I guess GioAllie was right,we are in trouble now that we have awakened the Sleeping Giant.

when it comes up again for a vote, 4 additional votes are much, much easier than 6. And thanx to harry reid, it will come up again, and those 4 senators will be catching a whole lotta heat from their constituants.

I believe this amendment received 56 votes, and it is thought in some circles that Wayne's choice to "score" the vote led to it's defeat--thereby lending credence to the "bought and paid for senators" who voted their behinds and wallets.

The Manchin-Toomey Amendment is actually Gun Registration. It allows the Feds(FBI,BATFE) to expand the records it collects. They are ONLY banned from consolidating or centraizing records.Statutary bans on gun resistration in other bills(BRADY-1994 and Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986) were ignored with NO repercussions.I see NO reason to believe that things would be any different under Obama and Holder.

oh well, loner, I HAVE AGREAT DEAL OF "BUSINESS" COMMENTING, and I as a stickler to detail found numerous sites that spoke of the "gun bill" or "gun legislation" defeat, and only one referenced "background checks" as the sole item defeated--remember it-background check amendment- was not a "BILL." But you every right to your interpretation, as I have the same right.

I am very happy most of the time Sonoma, but how can the president "spend" w/o authorization from congress?

GioAllie

let's be very clear here--there was no "bill" to deal with background checks--there was however an "amendment" that was defeated that would help close loopholes in background checks? Now without wasting my time, lonrdr, was the poll you mentioned dealing with the "gun bill" or with simply the "background check" amendment?

I could have sworn that the finance committee "releases funds," not the president--it's amazing what one can learn from this forum--thanx Sonoma--what was that about "spin?"

The facts are really not for you allie since you probably already know them but are hoping you can fool others.

They are for other readers who might be interested in the politics behind the issue and are willing to research the facts rather than to rely on your spin.

Why would congress agree to increased background checks when the president refuses to release the money necessary to fund the present workload.

This was all done so the president could put a check mark after the gun control portion of his second term liberal agenda.

11:29AM- not an ounce of truth there--back to the issue, hopefully, for the good of the blog. Sen. Baucus D-MT. will not seek re-election--an excellent decision based on his pro-right recent votes, including the pro "felon" vote. An opportunity for the dems to pick up a seat in the senate.

now what would have been the harm ,in the last post, to enter 2 little words , that biden stated?8:58pm--"Biden to NRA"---We don't have the time--"OR MANPOWER"--to prosecute gun buyers who lie on background checks. I've always preferred full quotes- 2 little words--sorry.
