The grant would be better spent if 450 county households received a $1000 reduction in their taxes. Of course, this math is too complex for politicians.

I have an idea...give me all of the grant money. I'll drive down the highway with the windows open and watch it fly out the window....I think we would have the same results at the end of the day

The gov should not be in the food police business, or the housing business. If you don't want gov interference, don't take their money, including the apartment.

Let me get this straight. You DON'T have to be drug tested to receive public assistance but you can't smoke a legal product (cigarettes) in your Section 8 house? Ha!

Well, here it is. Big Brother is now going to say that people can't even smoke in their own homes. How much longer before they outlaw smoking totally. I agree that smoking in government buildings, restaurants and other public buildings is probably not a good idea, but come on, in our own homes? Crock of c r a p.

This Article reads like something from the Twilight Zone. I never thought things would come to this in our area. People are people and not zoo animals that you have to regulate where they live, how they live and what they eat. The Government needs to get out of their lives. They build units in the city we can't afford in the first place, then think they can control every aspect of your life because you live there.
