Nazi Weapons Act of 1938 (Translated to English)

Classified guns for "sporting purposes". All citizens who wished to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and have a background check. Presumed German citizens were hostile and thereby exempted Nazis from the gun control law. Gave Nazis unrestricted power to decide what kinds of firearms could, or could not be owned by private persons. The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by bureaucrats. Juveniles under 18 years could not buy firearms and ammunition.

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler's Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973), Pg. 425-426.

Do you have the right to know the name of your accuser or will this be anonymous? The friends and family of the accused may also reward the informant.

Because of generous welfare benefits, this area has become a magnet for people with addictions, mental health issues, social problems etc. Does this new law help or does it make the problem worse?

Maybe NY City needs special laws.

That is liberal politics at it's lowest form. Every idiot that has a grudge with his neighbor will be calling the police to report anything that looks like a gun.

What's next, fines for nor breast feeding your baby with a reward for turning you in if caught with a baby bottle.

New York, you have a big problem, I sure hope it isn't contagious.

My only question is how do people know what are legal and what are not? And I wish more of you on this blog would have expressed your outrage when the Patriot Act was enacted that toke away more of your rights than this.

This hotline was created last year and kept hush until now. The SAFE Act was made law without public input.. Mr Cuomo promised us a more transparent government..There are question now arising whether NYC Mayor Bloomberg & friends wrote the SAFE Law and handed it off to Cuomo. Maybe we should put that $28 million toward moving the Statue of Liberty from NY

cuomo, bloomberg, obama, and the rest of the anti-American politicians want to drive a wedge between we citizens. To drive them to tears they should check out the website "Girls Just Want to Have Guns" and look for the article Hundreds of Parents Send In Photos of Their Child With a Gun - We Absolutely Must Stand Up to these tyrants.......

Believe me, madman, there was plenty of outrage from the left when the Patriot Act was enacted. Forget the Bill of Rights and Habeas Corpus; they are no more.

"Turn me in and your life is over." Pretty much says it all. Saw a T-shirt once that went something like..."Kill a gay baby seal for Jesus. Says the rest. Look for Jim Carry's video on Charlton Heston and Hee Haw. Cuomo/Hitler. Give me a break.

"I am thrilled to see that virtually every county outside New York City and throughout New York state is in direct opposition to Gov. Cuomo's attempt to violate our Second Amendment rights," said County Executive Greg Edwards.

This is the only thing to ever come out of Greg's mouth that has made PERFECT sense. For once GE I can say I fully agree. NOW DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Maybe that 28 million should go into generating JOBS in our area! NOT turning neighbor against neighbor! I am without words to even express my disdain! Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind. PATHETIC
