Those Who Govern Cannot Be Trusted

Some of these comments are right on. Others the ones that blame Obama's four year run and re election on the downfall of this nation are seriously in need of mental health. I can't even stand the guy or his admin, but I have enough sense to know that what has happened in America took more than 4 or 5 years. Yet no one blames congress or senate for not working with this guy to find better solutions. Really hey maybe we should have Sarah Palin as a Vice pres right now. Are you serious? I guess she would be better off helping to run the country than biden right guys. This isn't a republican or democratic debate...people really need to pay attention and take the blinders off. All politicians do is promise and never deliver get over it, why would you never hold any other politician responsible but him really? Get lives Jamestownians.

AH, he can't help it. His mouth is running before his ignition is fired. I think this is a ploy to try to get people to knee jerk react like he and his boyfriend sheldy silver do as all paranoid delusional would. That way he could claim a state of emergency is in order, call out the national gaurd, and start trying to collect all the guns in the state. This of coarse must be done before the 2016 election. It's the only way he can convince the far left that he's with them, then comes all that money for election time. Don't be fooled, distractions on multiple fronts is age old politics! Stupid rabbit, tricks are for kids!!!!!!

The founding fathers new that this day would come. Here is a quote from the father of the constitution;" If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in gov't, our country will stand in need of it's experienced patriots to prevent it's ruin". Samuel Adams 1776!!! I'd say were just about there wouldn't you? These men had insight, intelligence, and the ability to lead, something today that is sadly lacking in state and federal gov't!!!! These men had no need, nor the want for today's dog and pony shows going on from coast to coast. Today's politicians are nothing more than a bunch of blowhards with more money than brains. Their eyes are on only their own betterment, and the prize is the bill of rights!!!!!

Seedog you are right about the free stuff! "A gov't that robs peter to pay paul, will always have the support of paul" I think the lefties got their eyes opened up when they realized there are a lot of democrats who own firearms, and are not willing to be in the lefties flock of sheep. Lets hope the dems with guns have memories when it comes election time.Harry Reid, what a paper thin politician! Go what ever way the wind blows.Lets just see if he joins the NRA before the next election when his numbers are low in all the polls!!!

People should always have the right to own guns. The more important issue is getting rid of all these greedy corrupt politicians. 95% of these politicians are career politicians and need to find another trade. All 530+ politicians in congress, senate and judicial branch need to be investigated. If any of them have benefited from their job they should be held accountable by being sent to prison.

Ok, I had to look into the duck thing. This research investigates the urgent matter of "Social Phenotypic Plasticity" in the male reproductive organ of the duck. OMG, Leno could easily do ten minutes on this, but more importantly the ducks need to know too, but it's bigger than any of that! According to the CBS article; "Among those having a personal experience with the study are young minorities. The project will incorporate high school students from under represented minorities through the Yale University Evoluntionist Program". Well, you certainly have to give credit to the Yale University "Grant Writer".

We're done folks. By all accounts, regardless of political orientation, we have been sold out, divided, and quarted. Better hide your guns because I think you'll need them for more than hunting... like our founding fathers/women knew. There's no problem spending TRILLIONS of our tax money on fabricated wars in which 18 year olds, not polician's kids or rich, die in. Close a school? Let old folks go without food? They are the bums in today's US. I won't even get into the tax dollars spent on foriegn "aid"...

Let's close the White House to taxpayers but let's fund....... a study about the d__ks of ducks.

CNSnews****) - The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $384,949 grant to Yale University for a study on “Sexual Conflict, Social Behavior and the Evolution of Waterfowl Genitalia”, according to the recovery.gov website. The grant description says,“The project examines how reproductive morphology covaries with season, age, and social environment in a diverse sample of duck species that differ in ecology, territoriality and breeding system." The grant was made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, better known as the stimulus package.

David--here is a cut and paste from a NY newspaper.

Cuomo confirmed the proposal, previously worked out in closed session, called for a tougher assault weapons ban and restrictions on ammunition and the sale of guns, as well as a mandatory police registry of assault weapons

No second amendment issues here---yeah, right----What part of "BAN" is unclear

. How will a background check detect mental illness? Felons, well do you really think such people will register their guns? Those who govern would play*****to get rid of the amendment too hard. They will regulate up to death first. I stand by what I say don’t trust those who govern you, such people look at the Constitution as a document hindrance

Jamestownite, I searched my files and found the forum on NAFTA, nowhere in them did I say that trade agreement didn’t allow outsourcing, check the archives and get your facts straight. Please wake up, we vote because we can’t trust those who govern, however our system is broke and there is a lot of outside interferences like illegal aliens who vote, foreign governments backing our candidates and the left leaning media. We vote in an attempt to get rid of them in hopes the next will be a bit better. Also people of this country have become complacent and too many don’t vote. All these things have an affect upon who gets in and who stays. Those who do are blind to what progressivisms are. Whataduck, show me where I said that the government is pushing to get rid of the amendment. No false statement was made. You made an assumption. Madman I already have a place in the woods because city people will be looking for anything they can get when the day comes. You included. How will a backgrou

The liberals have been trying to disarm the citizens since the early 70's that I am aware of.

There are 105 countries that have a higher murder rate with the use of a firearm than we do. ALL of them have some sort of citizen gun control.

The just completed U.S. Justice Dept's report stated that Australia's gun ban DID NOT reduce homicide rates in that country.

One of the recent gun control proposals in NEW YORK was to CONFISCATE firearms. Sounds like a second amendment issue to me.

If it is a safety issue why is it just the LIBERALS that think the gun is the problem. None of mine have ever discharged on their own.

"On the Senate floor this morning, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) implied the explosion that killed seven Marines at an ammunitions depot in Hawthorne, Nevada was due to the "cutting back in training and maintenance" in the sequester"

This is a perfect example of "Those Who Govern Cannot Be Trusted". This is also a perfect example of a person who should not have anything to do with making laws in the country.

NBC's Jim Miklaszewski reports: Now I can tell you, Marine Corps officials this afternoon are taking a strong exception to what Harry Reid implied. Saying that this this exercise, for example, was planned well in advance, had nothing to do with the budget cuts. There were no corners cut, and if they couldn't afford to have all the safety precautions into place, they wouldn't do the exercise.

Marine Corps Rips Reid: "Pure Political Posturing On The Backs Of Those Dead Marines" That's Uncle Harry!

Congress: Assault-weapons ban nixed from bill “Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on Monday that a controversial assault weapons ban will not be part of a Democratic gun bill that was expected to reach the Senate floor next month,” Politico notes. “After a meeting with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday, a frustrated Feinstein said she learned that the bill she sponsored — which bans 157 different models of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines — wouldn’t be part of a Democratic gun bill to be offered on the Senate floor. Instead, it can be offered as an amendment. But its exclusion from the package makes what was already an uphill battle an almost certain defeat.”

In setting up our democratic republic 73capri, our nation's founders were historians enough to understand that democracies/republics were historically short lived entities, always having quickly died out, on average, 200 years after founding. (Historically speaking, we are on borrowed time, but right on schedule if you look at the process of how all previous republics disintergrated) Upon exiting the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Ben Franklin was asked as to what type of government he and the others had created for the county. "A republic, IF YOU CAN KEEP IT" was his answer. In fact a number of the founders warned in their writings about the folly of trusting those in government. They warned that the natural tendency of government has ALWAYS been to take power from the people and assume it unto those in office, a primary cause of the very limited historic success of democratic states.

Ya see it's the anti gunners who truly live in fear and think johnnie law will protect them. When the revolt begins what side of the line do you think the popo will be on. The only military strong enough to break the back of the us military is the American citizens. The two will unite without a shot ever being fired the us military is we the people
