Land Bank Looks To Partner With City Council

Oh my, I’m really not sure of this boondoggle. I looked it up on ny**** and it was even fuzzier. “Land banks are not-for-profit corporations created to take control and redevelop vacant or abandoned properties to where they can better serve the public interest. “ This looks like big trouble to me with such a “feel good” headline. Does it begin with appointing somebodies relative to some leadership role and paid for by the taxpayers? Really in plain English -- how is this paid for and who benefits from the program? Land owners watch out for this one, when they say “better serve the public interest” it should send up a red flag and all tax payers watch your wallets.
