March 11, 2013

To the Readers’ Forum: Recently I read in The Post-Journal, the article ‘‘Hunters Are Silenced in Gun Debate.’’ It started out all right, at least the first 35 words....

If he did sell it to him after hearing he had previous felony convictions, I have no sympathy. But it smells fishy. Sounds like the same guns in the classifieds. Probably the cop trying to find a buyer. Hope somebody in Pa. takes it off him and leaves him with no gun and no case. lol

Wassel will be prosecuted by the rabidly anti-gunner NYS Attorney general's office(which was behind the sting).Wassel has retained a good law firm.

"Wassell attempted to sell a DelTon AR-15 rifle, a banned weapon due to a pistol grip, telescoping butt stock and bayonet mount, to the undercover officer". **** To Americans? "FIX YOUR BAYONETS"!!!

I bet it wasn't any more grusome than what Moore's loveable pals in Cuba and Venezuela left behind when through interrogating or plain torturing and butchering as a warning to opponents. Like most libs, he's real selective in what he finds offensive.

One of the leaders of the lefty loons has come up with this brillant idea -

"Filmmaker Michael Moore’s suggestion that showing crime scene photos of the children slain at Sandy Hook will hasten the demise of the National Rifle Association is not getting rave reviews in the shattered Connecticut community.

The left-wing social critic wrote in his blog Wednesday an item titled "America, You Must Not Look Away (How to Finish Off the NRA)," in which he recommended releasing the undoubtedly gruesome photos of the 20 children killed on Dec. 14, 2012, some of whom were shot up to 11 times. Moore said the fact that Americans have “done nothing to revise or repeal” the Second Amendment “makes us responsible.”

"On a 1998 “Illinois National Political Awareness Test” from Project Vote Smart, he stated his support for a “ban [on] the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.” Or how about this one? if you ban the "transfer" of a weapon, that means that if you die, the government takes the weapon since it cannot be transferred to an heir. Backdoor confiscation is still confiscation.

"In 1996, while running for the Illinois state Senate, Obama endorsed the Illinois handgun ban. He filled out a questionnaire and stated he supported legislation to “ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns,” So, is this enough proof that 44 would support confiscation? If he supports banning the "possession" of a gun, then apparently the government would have to take them away, right?

Universal Background Checks are completely unenforceable without universal registration. Registration is the first step to confiscation, as has been evidenced by every government that has eventually disarmed its citizens. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Do NOT be a willing participant in giving away constitutional rights. Once they take one, you never know what will go next......

Giopitt and phary - after the shooting in upstate NY killing four, should shotguns be made illegal? Do you think a universal background check would have stopped him? Two very simple questions. Just looking for two simple answers.

Yes, Allie, and you play the Lib playbook step by step: 1. Distract, 2. Deny, 3. Blame, 4. Lie, 5. Repeat (Adjust order accordingly by situation) If you had anything to add to the discussion, you'd have done it by now. We know your game and it's a loser.

Allie, you keep asking for proof that your Fearless Leader wants to take guns away, but I think the better question is, where is your proof that he won't do it if given the opportunity?

Meanwhile in Chicagoland a young man is shot down bcause gang members assumed he was arival by the way he wore his hat. Two are arrested, one having 30 priors, one having 8 inluding two gun charges. Why were they on the street with a gun? Not because they enjoy the protection of right wingers, I can guarantee you.
