Gun Debate: How Did We Reach This Point?

February 28, 2013

To The Reader’s Forum: I have, I think, studied the debate about guns from several angles, and have reached the conclusion that any solution that would make our society more safe and secure is going......

A man who exercises his freedom of speech and freedom of the pres by submitting this to the PJ should understand that RIGHTS should never be negotiated away.

Perhaps he needs to take a trip a bit closer to the border down there and ask the land owners there how his ban would work for them!

2A = Perfect As Is. The left, lib, prog, dems of the world can choose to lie in the floor in fetal position and*****thumbs or Stock Up, Load Up and STAND. The latter preferred. SHEEPVILLE = not an option. Exercise your 2A right or not. As is said, be my guest to leave yourself unarmed and helpless.

the author forgot that on this blog, on this issue, the voice of reason is frowned upon. The opinion merely mirrors the opinions of the majority of Americans.

Gun Laws are only there to protect the powers that control society, from the people they "control"

Democrats are willing to make gigantic exceptions to the “need” rule for things they happen to personally like. Their position is: “I don’t know why anyone needs to hunt; on the other hand, I do see why your tax dollars should be used to subsidize partial-birth abortion, bicycle lanes and the ballet.”

This was taken from Ann Coulter's column yesterday. For an even better read, google it and absorb the whole thing.

When I started reading mrinbetween I knew immediately how absurd that it was. Then it all made sense when he pointed out it came from Coulter. Brainwash yourself away, mrinbetween. You have free will, let her take you places that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Have a nice trip.

I support gun laws and I support gun rights.

That being said, 1) Register All Guns just like Vehicles. 2) Rid the "military" style guns that can shoot several rounds in less than a minute. 3) Lock up your guns in one area and your bullets in another area. 4) Quit bashing each other!

"Gun Debate: How Did We Reach This Point?"

Very easy question to answer. A few nut cases decide in their worped mind they need to slaughter a bunch of innocent people. What do the people who run this country do? They decide to ban weapons and limit the number of rounds in a gun. YEAAAA.....problenm solved! They "feel good" because they did something. Never mind that 99.9% of the legal gun owners would never dream of butchering a group on innocents.

But if the government or law enforcement went after the crazy people capable of doing such a thing, groups like the ACLU (gio's heros) and the mamby pamby left would cry out - THAT'S NOT FAIR! That's how we reached this point.

It started with the 2nd amendment, now Obama's going after the first amendment:

BOB WOODWARD: A 'Very Senior' White House Person Warned Me I'd 'Regret' What I'm Doing Brett LoGiurato | Feb. 27, 2013, 6:53 PM

"Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a "very senior person" at the White House warned him in an email that he would "regret doing this," the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined.

I guess the Constitotion and the Bill of Rights mean nothing to our "leader".

And now ladies and gentlemen...its time for 'Stump the Righties'...

I wonder...has there been a case where a private citizen protected themselves with a high capacity assault rifle where another gun wouldn't have worked????

Can you show us?

One point I clearly remember was 1981 in Liberty City, Fl. The neighborhood was being looted and burned, and law enforcement would not respond. Shop owners were left to fend for themselves against mobs intent on mayhem and certainly anonymous enough to commit murder. If you have never faced such a thing, you don't understand how comforting an AR15 can be.
