Shameful at best, in debt up to it's ear holes but still borrowing 40 cents of every dollar it spends! If we look like Greece and smell like grease, it's very probably that's what we are! So sad!

Have no fear - Obama is out campaiging to stop HIS sequester. Funny how he feels he needs to campaign instead of staying in DC to settle this thing. "Our government is a joke" says it pretty clearly but I would add and our leader is the head joker.

Our state of the union at this point is sad. The reason being is the house of representatives is now against what they used to be for. Voting down their very own bills because the President went along with them. Sad, sad state of bipartisanship. Last night Sean Hannity,on his television show, was giving examples of where to cut aid to poor people rather than eliminate a loophole that would give the rich a break on buying a yacht. How more sad can you get than that? Yes, Grant, we are in a very sad state of affairs at the moment, a state with the mentality of save our party, save our political job, first and foremost.

All those who perceive our Union as being okey dokey must have ROSE COLORED GLASSES riveted to their temples. We are going down. I cannot understand why others cannot understand that you simply cannot maintain a free nation by borrowing nearly half of every dollar in our (and I use the term loosley) "budget". Spoiled babies, allowances MUST be cut. Would you rather get less, or nothing at all? Adults will stand on their own two feet and BE RESPONSIBLE for themselves. Others will wait for Mommy to gently place the pacifier back in their mouths and clean their butts. Isn't socialism wonderful?

Here we go again. Obama dedicating a Rosa Parks statue, and speaks of those marching the "dusty road to Montgomery". It wasn't dusty. It was paved, and rained a lot. Well, just so you keep the drama going Barry. It's what you were hired for.

Mrinbetween, I believe he is saying that the reason our country is in this sorry state, is that WE keep electing the same jerks expecting a different outcome. I think that fits the definition of insanity.

Eventually, the laws of economics will catch up with us and it will be painful. Can't spend more than you have and expect to be economically sound. It weakens our country. Making people dependent weakens our country. Could America's best days be behind us?...it's a very real possibility.

A quick check of news...Illinois-kid suspended for wearing USMC shirt, 5 yr olds begin sex ed. Humans living linger, getting dimber. Obesity and health problems epidemic, seniors record cases of STD's. Two Cal politicians complain about acadamy awards. Transgender kid 6yr old sues to use girls rest room. We need to spend more every year or we'll shut down all necessary government services. . . Okay. You tell me what the state is.

No correction necessary. I think "linger" and "dimber" were appropriate.
